Depending on each individual, the time and frequency of exercise recommendations can vary. However as a general goal, thirty minutes of exercise at a moderate intensity such as high paced walking for 3 days per week has been shown to be sufficient to allow these benefits to occur.
It may be hard to get started and to get yourself into a routine to implement a healthy lifestyle, but once you can get yourself into a habit it will be automatic before you know it!
By implementing ways that you can make exercise part of your day can help you more than you can imagine. If you can find a physical activity which looks like something you can enjoy or if you find a coach it will help you stay on track.
